Opposition leader Peter Dutton is on his way to Israel, where he will meet with senior members of the Israeli government.
The background: In the past months, Dutton has criticised Anthony Albanese’s government approach to the Hamas-Israel war, accusing it of “tarnishing” and “damaging irreparably” Australia’s relationship with Israel.
Penny Wong travelled to Israel in January, becoming the first foreign minister to visit the country since 2016.
