Mother of boys found dead in Blue Mountains home charged with murder

The mother of two children who were found dead at their home in NSW’s Blue Mountains earlier this week has been charged with murder.
NSW Police said in a statement on Friday night that at about 12.40pm on Tuesday, after a report of concern for the welfare of a woman and two children.
Police will allege that the bodies of the two boys, aged nine and 11, were found inside the home by their father, who had access to the home but does not live there.
Police said the boys’ mother, 42 years old, was also found in the home with multiple stab wounds. Paramedics treated her at the scene before she was taken to Westmead Hospital under police guard in a critical but stable condition.
On Friday, the woman was released from hospital and taken to Parramatta Police Station, where she was charged with two counts of alleged domestic violence-related murder.
Police said she had been refused bail and would appear at Parramatta Local Court on Saturday.
