Three children have been injured after being reportedly attacked by a man at a daycare centre in Switzerland, local police have said.
Swiss police launched a major operation after receiving reports of the suspected attack on Tuesday, October 1.
The incident took place at a daycare centre in Berninastrasse, Zurich, at approximately midday local time (11am BST).
Police said to have arrested the man suspected of carrying out the “violent crime”.
Zurich City Police said in a press release: “Shortly after twelve o’clock, the Zurich City Police were alerted to a violent crime on Berninastrasse. Three children were injured.
“A suspect was arrested in connection with this.”
Police added there is “no longer any danger to the public” in light of the arrest.
