A freed Hamas hostage has spilled on how her captor pledged to marry and have children after just a few weeks of holding her hostage.

Noga Weiss, 18, was released in a hostage deal last year following 50 days in captivity.

The teen has explained how one of her abductors took an extreme liking to her just a few days in.

She told Israeli TV Channel 12 on Thursday: “He gave me a ring on day 14 [in captivity], and I stayed with him until day 50.

“He told me, ‘Everyone will be released, but you will stay here with me and have my children.’”

Wiess was kidnapped along with her family members from Kibbutz Be’eri during Hamas’ brutal rampage on October 7.

While Wiess, her two sisters, and her mother were abducted by the terror group, her father is thought to have been killed that day.

Weiss told Channel 12: “Something like 40 terrorists surrounded me with Kalashnikovs. They tied my hands behind my back.

“As they took me away, I saw the bodies of people I knew from the kibbutz. A few minutes later, they put me in a car and started driving,”

Hamas and other militant organisations took up to 250 people hostage on 7 October.

They killed an estimated 1,136 people in a bloody onslaught which has sparked a months-long conflict. Over 34,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s retaliatory bombing campaign of Gaza so far, according to health authorities in the strip.

Over 105 hostages were released following a hostage deal last November in exchange for a brief ceasefire It is not clear how many of the remaining hostages are still alive.

Leaders from 18 countries this week urged Hamas to release both Israeli and dual-national hostages who are still being detained.

They said in a joint statement: “The fate of the hostages and the civilian population in Gaza, who are protected under international law, is of international concern. We strongly support the ongoing mediation efforts in order to bring our people home.”

  1. Was the captor’s obsession solely focused on the hostage’s captivity, or were there other demands made during the hostage situation?

  2. It’s truly terrifying to imagine the ordeal this young girl went through. The audacity and cruelty of her captor is chilling. No one should ever have to experience such a traumatic event at such a young age. My heart goes out to Noga Weiss and all those affected by such senseless violence.
